What exactly do "Day Of" Coordinators do? Two levels of service?

TRADITIONAL “DAY OF” COORDINATION
In this traditional capacity, a coordinator is on-site to consult and coordinate your wedding details as they
pertain to the ceremony and reception, as well as assist with the ceremony at the site.
• Coordinator meets with bride prior to the rehearsal {or another determined date} to discuss the details that have been arranged by the Bride;
• All vendors have been confirmed by the Bride. The Coordinator oversees the details the Bride has arranged/confirmed including managing vendors and venue set-up;
• Coordinator is onsite for the ceremony rehearsal to orchestrate the “practice session” for the Processional and Recessional with entire wedding party, parents and ushers, etc. {anyone that will be walking in honor};
• Coordinator is responsible for ensuring the overall flow of the ceremony; how the venue is to be set-up, how the guests, family members and wedding party will make their way down the aisle; any special needs for ceremony, what will follow, i.e., photos etc. based on what was rehearsed {including changes and additions}
• Coordinator is present to provide support to the wedding party “Day Of” to ensure they meet the timeline requirements for photos and arriving for ceremony, and handle any “emergencies” that may arise {planner provides “bridal survival kit” to handle small emergencies, i.e., first aid kit, hair/nail products; sewing kit; spot remover, etc.};
• Coordinator is present prior to event to oversee venue set-up, vendor services, and to ensure venue is ready to receive guests. Coordinator often will remain for the duration of the event to coordinate vendors, special requests, and flow of event including cake cutting, garter/bouquet toss, special dances and toasts, etc.;
• Coordinator is available as a general resource throughout the planning process.
Fees:
In consideration for “Traditional “Day Of” coordination, a coordinators fee might be based on up to 100 guests with an additional per person surcharge. A complimentary sleeping room for the night of wedding is fairly standard. Rates are based on initial planning/coordination meeting to review details, ceremony rehearsal coordination, and up to 10-hours for planner and one assistant.
.
"Expanded Day Of" Coordination
In this expanded capacity, Coordinator is on-site to consult and coordinate the “Day Of” the wedding ceremony and reception, as well as to assist with the ceremony rehearsal and rehearsal dinner.
• Coordinatormeets with the Bride at least two weeks prior to the wedding to review wedding details and discuss vendors. At that time, vendor/detail information is passed to Coordinator for follow-up and additional confirmations – allowing the Bride to focus on “enjoying’ the weeks leading up to her Big Day!
Confirmations will be made two weeks, one week, and day before {as needed}.
Additional coordination with the venue will be handled to take care of rehearsal schedule, flow, guarantees, guest count etc.;
•Coordinator is present at the ceremony rehearsal to orchestrate the Processional and Recessional – all wedding party, family and other honor individuals present; rehearse the flow of the ceremony including any rituals, prayers, readings, etc.; coordinate w/photographer following ceremony for pictures;
• Coordinator will oversee the rehearsal dinner to ensure that the venue is ready for guests, the evening flows and guests requests are attended to;
•Coordinator is present to provide support to the wedding party “Day Of” to ensure they meet the timeline requirements for photos and arriving for ceremony, and handle any “emergencies” that may arise {Coordinator provides “bridal survival kit” to handle small emergencies, i.e., first aid kit, hair/nail products; sewing kit; spot remover, etc.};
• Coordinator will orchestrate the ceremony processional and recessional “Day Of” to ensure the Brides needs are met based on what was rehearsed and any changes made {we provide a timeline to each wedding party member so that they have a “cheat sheet” to glance at during the day.
• Coordinator is on-site prior to event to oversee venue set-up, vendor services, and to ensure venue is ready to receive guests. Coordinator remains for the duration of the event to coordinate vendors, make vendor payments, special requests, and flow of event.
•Coordinator is available as a general resource throughout the planning process.
Fees:
In this Expanded “Day Of” coordination, the fee may be twice the rate of Traditional "Day Of" coordination as outlined above for up to 100 guests plus a surcharge for additional per person surcharge and one complimentary sleeping room for night of wedding {based on availability}. Rates based on initial planning/coordination meeting to review details, vendor confirmations and coordination, rehearsal
orchestration and rehearsal dinner, all-day assistance from coordinator and one assistant.
